Cefalexin is used to treat the following infections caused by bacteria that can be killed by cefalexin: Respiratory tract (lung and airways) infections e.g. tonsillitis, pharyngitis and bronchitis. Middle ear infection (otitis media) Skin and soft tissue (e.g. muscle) infections.
